Candler Building

Building

Originally constructed in 1912 by local Baltimore Architect Arthur C. Tufts, the property was built to serve as a syrup plant and distribution center for the Coca-Cola Corporation. The Candler Building as it is known today, is a nod to the founder of Coca-Cola and the property’s financial backer and first tenant Asa Candler.

Over the years it has been the site and headquarters of Exelon, Firestone Tire and Rubber, and was the first official headquarters for the U.S. Social Security Office.
